Judith A. Wise is Of Counsel to the firm, with a practice focused on corporate and financial transactions and mergers & acquisitions. Ms. Wise has extensive experience in cross-border negotiated M&A, strategic alliances, joint ventures, venture capital transactions, debt securitizations, and private equity transactions.
Ms. Wise joined the firm in 2021, having previously practiced with Cleary Gottlieb’s London office, and Skadden, Arps’ New York office. While with Cleary Gottlieb, Ms. Wise was seconded to Citibank’s global emerging markets private equity funds group, Citi Venture Capital International, based in London.
Between practice at Skadden, Arps and Cleary Gottlieb, Ms. Wise served as an Assistant Professor at Willamette University College of Law after completing a Visiting Assistant Professorship at Florida State University College of Law. She taught business associations, venture capital planning, property law, women and the law, and law and economics. Ms. Wise has published and presented widely on international law and inequality in development, with her work on illicit trade in Latin America published by Cambridge University Press.
