David R. Lurie has over 25 years of experience in commercial, securities, corporate governance and bankruptcy and insolvency litigation, representing clients in sophisticated, complex matters as well as everyday commercial and employment-related disputes. Mr. Lurie began his career at the prominent New York law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where he practiced for over seven years and has also practiced with the firms of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering and Vinson & Elkins.
Mr. Lurie’s matters include:
- Lurie actively counsels employees and employers in a number of employment-related disputes and advises and litigates matters relating to enforcement of restrictive covenants, including non-competition agreements.
- Lurie has broad expertise in commercial litigation, having represented parties in a range of contract and business tort matters.
- He has represented officers and companies in class actions and shareholder derivative actions arising from allegations of securities fraud and fiduciary breaches, as well as related regulatory enforcement inquiries.
- Lurie has likewise represented and counseled parties in disputes arising from merger and acquisition and financing transactions.
- Lurie has counseled clients with respect to disputes relating to insurance claim and coverage.
- He also has extensive experience representing creditors and debtors in bankruptcy and other insolvency related matters.
